Oh Monday... How I loathe thee

I used to be a coffee drinker... then I realized how much I truly hate the stuff.  It's dark and bitter and makes your breath reek.  It stains your teeth.  It gives me indigestion.  And, caffeine is not good for someone who, already, can't sleep.  Anyway... all that to say- some mornings should be coffee mornings... and today is one of them.  Last night I slept somewhere between 45 and 60 minuets.  I stuck my ipod in my ears, selected the "CALM" playlist, and proceeded to listen to the same list over and over and over (realizing about 3 hours in, I NEED to find some new songs for the ipod!)

I ran yesterday.  It was beautiful.  Just a 4 mile run, @ the gym, on the treadmill.  I did a mile and a half straight through to warm up, a mile of hill training (because that is what kicked my ass during my last race), and ended with a mile and a half of sprint training.  I felt good, but OH MY did my legs feel it later that afternoon!

I have an issue when I go to the gym.  I hate sweating.  I think its disgusting.  When I'm running or cycling and I start to sweat to the point where you can see it through my clothes I freak out.  Matt is always telling me "it's okay... at the gym you are supposed to sweat!  It is actually a good thing."  Well, my darling Matthew... I beg to differ.  Sweat is gross.  And it smells.  Speaking of smelling... I was running between two men yesterday... the man on the left brought a smile to my face.  He was hot.  The good kind of hot.  Sexy- hot.  And, he smelled GOOD.  I don't know what cologne he was wearing, but dude... it worked!  Too bad he was married.  The other man, the one on the right, did not smell good.  I don't understand how someone can work out, smell the way they do, and not get embarrassed and go home.  It baffles me.

Lastly, for today.  What is point of having a deadline if no one follows it?  Is it more like a suggestion?  If there are no consequences and others have to work around the lateness and laziness of those in question, why set a deadline or timeframe in the first place?  Hmmmm???
